First day of school

Anyways, today was the first day of sixth grade for me.

It's weird being the oldest, to tell the truth.

And so many new privileges!

I really miss me old seventh grade BFs though...

Kind of lonely today.

But I can't wait until I can actually get some work done.

I volunteered for everything today!

Now I just hope that Chris will allow e-readers though.

I'm reading the second book in the Hunger Games series on the Kindle.

It's soooo good! Totally recommend it.

I can't wait for home work to start up.

It's one of my favorite things about school!

Boring...

So anyways, school starts tomorrow.

But today was my last summer day. and what am I doing with it?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

So naturally I can't WAIT to get out of the house and into my classroom.

Tomorrow I will be a montessorian sixth grader!

I can't wait for that wonderful homework.

I am not being sarcastic.

Fly!

I am so happy!

I made both of the parts that I wanted, Nana the dog and Jane.

Can't WAIT to fly. :)

Hope my ribs can stand the stress. :P

Fun, Fun, Fun!

So anyways,

I'm sorry I couldn't post last night....

Auditions AND my birthday party!

Auditions went great, and turns out I have great core strength!!

(we did exercises to see who had enough strength to fly)

But now all my limbs hurt.

I need a massage!!! :P

Then I had a super fun birthday party, and of course stayed up too late.

Snore. Snore. Snore.

In the morning, we did a treasure hunt and got soaked!

Tonight, I find out what my part is in Peter Pan.

Concert Time!!

So, the concert went great today!

The one tonight has of course not happened yet but I'm confident it will go well.

Tomorrow are auditions for the Northern Light Junior Theatre!

The play is Peter Pan, and you actually get to fly!

Well, at least if you are Wendy, Peter Pan, John, Michael, or Jane (Wendy's daughter).

I hope I am Jane. I'll let you know who I was cast as as soon as I find out on Sunday.

Soon I will be eleven! Great! And even sooner school starts.

The class lists were supposed to come out today, but I haven't seen them... yet.

I won't be able to blog tomorrow, with auditions and a party.

Darn it.

Ah well.

OK.

So, normally, I'm a pretty responsible person, but I'm completely horrible at keeping journals and blogs.

Not that I have a boring life, I just... forget about my blogs and journals and can never find them.

:( Uh-Oh.

Well, this year I will be going into sixth grade. My resolution is to keep a blog. And write every day. Wish me luck....

So anyways, this year we are getting another exchange student. Her name is Paula and she's fifteen and from Germany. I am so excited.

Also, school is starting! I am one of those people that just REALLY likes school. Every. Single. Thing. About. It. It starts on the 23rd. Three days before my 11th birthday. Yay! Tomorrow the class lists come out. Can't wait to see who'll be in my class.

Also happening is the Juneau Student Symphony Pirate Pops Concert. Yes, we'll be wearing pirate costumes. Come to the State Office building tomorrow @ noon, or if you can't make it then, come to the Zach Gordon Youth Center covered area at 7 p.m.

I was on the radio today announcing this! First time. Awesome!
